  iAchieve Program

This program rewarded elementary students of Norfolk Public Schools with new iPads and keyboards from 2014-2015 to support the school system’s STEM initiatives and increase focus on technology. Kam Cares Foundation identified the top performing students of various Title 1 schools in Norfolk, VA. Recipients then received a tutorial on how to effectively use their new technology device within the educational setting.

  Back-to-School Drive

Kam Cares Foundation hosts two annual Back-to-School Drives — one in Hampton Roads and one in Seattle.  Through partnerships with likeminded organizations, Kam Cares identifies children with the greatest need, and provides them with backpacks and supplies to kick the year off on the right track.

  Project Learn

Kam Cares will partner with the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Virginia to support the Tidewater Park Unit for Project Learn — a program that reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge young people learn at school through high-yield learning activities at the Club and the in-home program.

  Pathways to Opportunity

Kam Cares will partner with Opportunity Inc. through the Youth Career Center of Hampton Roads to provide support to the expansion of the Pathways to Opportunity program to Granby High School.  This initiative provides tutoring and mentorship to students enrolled in the program.

Health & Wellness

  VA’s UpNext Football Skills Camp

This two-day camp for middle school and high school athletes teaches football skills, as well as life skills, through football techniques and strategies. Click Here to View Video!

  theCAMP

Kam Cares will partner with Trinity Presbyterian Church to support theCAMP — an annual sports and arts camp held during the summer for children living in the oldest and largest neighborhood of the Norfolk Redevelopment Housing Authority, Young Terrace.

Community Improvement & Outreach

  Christmas Toy Drive

Kam Cares Foundation presents a toy drive in Seattle Washington – benefiting children affiliated with Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission.   With Kam at the helm, the foundation serves nearly 1,000 children each year.

  Bam Bam’s Spring Jam

This annual community event features a Cocktail Reception, Community Cookout, and Celebrity Basketball Game to build awareness for the foundation, raise funds to support programs and services, and promote community engagement.   The two-day event is held Memorial Day Weekend in Norfolk, Virginia.
